Paper Straw Spider - Super Easy Halloween Kid Craft Idea

Halloween Spider Craft Made With Paper Straws

You know what I love? Paper straws, Halloween crafts and easy tutorials!!! Yup! To sum that up, that’s exactly what inspired today’s Paper Straw Spider craft tutorial! Plus I’ve included a free printable to get you started even faster! No need to be scared, it’s seriously SOOOO easy!

In this post, I’ve included a FREE spider template below, so all you need to do is print the file, grab some black colored paper straws and glue the straw “legs” in place. Children can of course add their own “spider” touch to the easy DIY activity with glitter, stickers, paper scraps etc.. It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to do it!

Paper Straw Spider - Super Easy Halloween Kid Craft Idea

It’s time to get crafty! Make a spider with paper straws and have some spooky fun with the little ones.

Craft Supplies:

  • Spider Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Halloween Paper Straws
  • School Glue
  • Paper Craft Scissors

Directions:

  • First grab the freebie and print it out on a single piece of white cardstock paper. You only need ONE print per spider craft.
  • Next up – grab your black paper straws and scissors.
  • Go ahead and have children cut them down to fit on the printable.
  • Now draw several lines of glue coming from the body of the spider in the printable.
  • Have children place the cut paper straw pieces on top of the glue to make legs. Repeat.
  • To finish the Paper Straw Spider, have children add any other embellishments {like glitter, rhinestones, wiggle eyes etc.} you see fit.
  • When done decorating, set aside the paper piece to let it dry completely.
  • Then display proudly for ALL to see!
