Paper Plate Web Craft With Thumbprint Spiders

Sometimes all you need is the simplest craft materials to make the BEST crafts happen in your home.

Take for example today’s spider web craft idea made from a paper plate and craft yarn. We are going to encourage YOU and your child to weave a web of craftiness into your home, this Halloween season, with our LATEST simple kid craft idea from Glued To My Crafts!

With just basic materials such as white yarn, tissue paper and a paper plate – you too can pull this “spider-tastic” activity together for your child in no time. Best part? It’s really inexpensive and the little ones can get involved too! I’m going to show you just how EASY it is!

Paper Plate Spider Web Craft

Get crafty this Halloween and make your own spooky spider web creation using just a few simple supplies, including a paper plate!

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate – 1 per craft
  • Purple Tissue Paper
  • White Craft Yarn
  • School Glue
  • Scissors
  • Washable, Black Ink Pad
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Black Marker
  • Tiny Googly Eyes

Directions:

  • First things first – cut your purple tissue paper into small squares.
  • Now put a good layer of glue ALL over the paper plate.
  • Place the tissue paper on top of the glue, until the paper plate is completely covered.
  • Next cut some LONG strips of white yarn for the web {doesn’t matter how much or little but remember – the more the better!}
  • Put another layer of glue on top of the paper plate and have your child place the yarn on top.
  • To finish off the spooky spider web craft, make black thumbprint spiders on the white cardstock paper and trim them out so you can add them in your “web.”
  • Allow it to dry completely before displaying proudly!
