All you need is paper, coloring materials and a little glue to bring it to life!

With all this being said, you will have TWO cat-tastic craft ideas {both of which are wickedly awesome} to make with your little one this Halloween season. One download but two opportunities for crafty fun!

Halloween Black Cat On Fence - Kid Craft

Get crafty with your kids this weekend and have some fun creating this black cat craft idea!

Craft Supplies:

  • Free Cat Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Pencils, Markers etc.
  • Scissors
  • Gray Cardstock Paper
  • Yellow Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Adhesive
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Halloween stickers

Directions:

  • First things first – print out the blank cat template listed above in the supply list.
  • Print it out, on simple white cardstock paper. You only need ONE cat printable per Halloween craft.
  • Next up – grab a black crayon {or marker, pencil etc.} and lightly color the cat’s face and paws in the printable {feel free to also change up the color if you like!}
  • Once done with the coloring step, trim out each section in the printable and set them all aside.
  • Discard excess paper.
  • Now grab all your colored cardstock paper pieces and scissors.
  • The gray cardstock paper will be your “night” background color. Leave this piece un-cut and set aside.
  • Grab the yellow colored cardstock paper and cut out a large circular moon.
  • Grab the brown colored cardstock paper and cut out a rectangle shape from it. Not too big though, it should only cover 1/4 of your gray paper.
  • Use a brown crayon to make the rectangle piece you just made, look like a fence. Draw straight lines and a few squiggles for details.
  • Out of the scrapbook paper {or a solid color} cut out a witch hat for your cat.
  • Cut out anything else you think your night sky may need or your black cat might want to wear.
  • Once everything is cut out, we are ready to assemble everything! Grab ALL the paper pieces and the glue stick.
  • Start off my gluing down the fence piece on the bottom of the gray paper.
  • Next up – the moon in the background.
  • Finally – add the cat head above the fence, followed by the paws on the edge of the fence line {see our picture for an example.} You want it to look like the cat in holding on/peeking over the fence.
  • Go ahead and also glue on the witch’s hat to give the cat that Halloween feel.
  • Last step – the wiggle eyes. Glue those in place on the cat’s face.
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit {like a few stickers in the background} before displaying your paper black cat on fence art project, for all to see!
  • It’s your time to shine! Don’t forget to snap a few pictures to share with us! #gluedtomycrafts
