Cotton Ball Covered Snowman Craft Idea For Kids

A snowman is the perfect man. He is well rounded and comes with his own broom – ha!

All jokes aside though, today’s Cotton Ball Snowman craft idea is super easy to make within minutes and it’s relatively inexpensive too. If you have a printer in your home – you are well on your way to pulling this together and creating a snowy friend without having to fight the cold wind outside!

In this post, I’ve included a FREE snowman body printable template, so all you need to do is print the file, grab some cotton balls and glue & have your child decorate it however they like to create a one-of-a-kind snowman! It’s so simple – you have NO excuse NOT to do it!

Cotton Ball Snowman Kid Craft w/free printable template

A kids craft tutorial for this fun and easy cotton ball snowman! This snowy day craft is a great way to keep your kids entertained!

Craft Supplies:

  • Snowman Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • White Cotton Balls
  • Craft Felt or Cardstock Paper
  • Craft Scissors
  • School Glue

Directions:

  • First download and print the free snowman printable on white cardstock paper.
  • If desired – go ahead and cut out the snowman from the printable {like we did.} OR you can leave him just as is. This step is totally optional!
  • Now you are ready to start building your snowman. Squirt some school glue all over the inside of the snowman template.
  • Have children place cotton balls on top of the glue, until the snowman is filled in.
  • While they are working on that, cut out other snowman features from either craft felt or cardstock. Think black hat, carrot nose and of course, warm scarf!
  • To finish off the Cotton Ball Snowman craft, glue the newly made cutout pieces in place on top of the cotton balls.
  • If desired, add other embellishments you see fit.
  • Then display proudly!!!
