Footprint Snowman Card For Winter Fun

This easy footprint snowman card tutorial is perfect for kids of all ages this winter! A great craft to enjoy together.

Craft Supplies:

  • Cardstock Paper
  • White Craft Paint
  • Orange Craft Paint
  • Black Craft Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • Paper Cutter/Scissors
  • Adhesive
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First grab a single sheet of cardstock paper {preferably a dark color so the white will stand out}
  • Make the base of your snowmen by painting your child’s foot completely white and then pressing it in the center of your cardstock.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Once dry, trim around the footprint shape so it will fit on a card front.
  • Repeat for each snowman card you want to make.
  • Now you are ready for the embellishments.
  • Grab your remaining cardstock and cut out a hat, nose, buttons, scarf and eyes to complete the snowman.
  • Go ahead and glue those on top of the footprint to give your snowman life.
  • At this time, your child can also add other embellishments they see fit & really make it their own!
  • To finish off your Footprint Snowman Cards – fold another sheet out of cardstock in half to make a card.
  • Go ahead and glue your footprint snowman to the front of it.
  • For added flair (and a nicer touch) I went ahead and trimmed around another piece of cardstock to go around our footprint design, then glued it down to the front of the card.
  • Once done, write a sweet message inside with your child, slip in an envelope and mail away!

But wait – there’s more! You can also do this footprint snowman idea on a large canvas instead! Just paint the blank canvas a shade of dark shade blue so the white footprint really pops from it! Then add painted embellishments to bring your frosty friend to life, right before your eyes!

Now if that’s not enough and you are still looking for even MORE winter themed kid craft ideas, from Glued To My Crafts, be sure to check out these fun posts listed below.
