Handprint 5 Little Snowman Poem Keepsake

5 Little Snowman Poem Keepsake

Create this fun and easy craft with the help of Glued To My Craft’s free printable!

Craft Supplies:

  • Snowman Poem Printable
  • Light Blue Cardstock Paper
  • Washable White Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Sharpie Markers
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes

Directions:

  • First grab the free Snowman Poem Printable listed above in the supply list.
  • Go ahead and print the file on ONE single sheet of light blue cardstock {so the white paint really pops!} Print as many as you like – you only need one print per child though.
  • Next grab your white craft paint, paint brush and small paper plate.
  • Squirt a small amount of white paint on the paper plate.
  • Now pick a hand – either hand will do!
  • Paint the palm of your child’s hand completely white with the craft paint.
  • Working fast, press the hand down in the center of the printed poem printable. Carefully wiggle each finger so the paint really transfers onto the paper.
  • When ready, gently lift up their hand carefully from the paper to reveal their painted handprint.
  • Remove excess paint from your child’s hand with a few baby wipes and a quick trip to the sink.
  • Now grab your Sharpie markers and give the white handprint the look of a gang of snowmen together. Each finger will get a black hat on the fingers tips and then some dots & a triangle carrot nose below each one. You could also get some paper scraps & glue them on instead.
  • When done decorating each finger, set aside the decorated printable in an undisturbed area to let it dry completely.
  • Before you display or gift it away proudly, add other embellishments you see fit, as well as having children sign the bottom.
  • Don’t forget to share pictures with us on your social media sites! #gluedtomycrafts
