PUNNY Nacho Chip & Queso Cupcake Liner Card

Today’s latest cupcake liner card idea is something I REALLY hope you see my vision with. Similar to our “cupcake liner taco” friend card tutorial, this one has a PUNNY element to it!

To recreate this nacho chip themed card idea, all you need is either a tan or yellow cupcake liner, our free printable and “a little” bit of puffy paint for the queso cheese element. Super simple materials and even easier steps as well – I promise!

Punny Cupcake Liner Nacho Chip & Queso Card Craft

It’s super easy to recreate! We hope our “in queso you didn’t know” card idea comes in handy for you!

Craft Supplies:

  • Queso Card Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Tan/Yellow Cupcake Liner
  • Glue Stick
  • Black Marker
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Yellow or Orange Puffy Paint

Directions:

  • First things first – download and print our FREE “in queso you didn’t know” card printable that is listed above. One print makes TWO cards at once. Feel free to print as many as you like but the free file is only for PERSONAL USE or in a classroom setting.
  • Once you have the nacho chip printable printed out, grab your paper trimmer to trim out one of the designs, so it will fit on the front of the cardstock card.
  • Now grab your choice of colored cardstock paper.
  • Fold it in half to create a simple card shape.
  • Glue one of the printed cutouts to the front of your folded card.
  • Trim down the card is need be.
  • Now grab either a tan or yellow cupcake liner and flatten it out with your hands.
  • Fold it into a triangle “chip” shape.
  • Use a glue stick to glue that piece right in the center of the card design.
  • Now glue on some wiggle eyes so the nacho chip can see.
  • Take the Sharpie marker and draw a smiley face & small dots all over, to give the chip some dimension.
  • Finally – grab your yellow or orange squeeze tubes & draw on some “puffy paint queso cheese” to really tie the theme together.
  • Allow the puffy paint to dry completely before moving onto the next step.
  • Last step – write a message inside the card and add anything else you see fit!
  • Well done – it looks DELICIOUS! Now give it to the lucky receiver to enjoy!
  • Don’t forget to use the second design in the printable {with the same steps as above} to make another cupcake liner nacho chip card to drop in the mail today!

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:

  • Cardstock Paper
  • VALENTINE'S DAY PRINTABLE - LANDING PAGE
  • 1 Cupcake Liners
  • 2 Wiggle Eyes
  • Tulip Puffy Paint
  • Craft Scissors
  • Adhesive
  • Sharpie Markers

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:

  • First print out our provided printable, in color, on a single sheet of white cardstock paper. You only need one print per craft.
    Cardstock Paper
  • Once you have the nacho chip printable printed out, grab your paper trimmer to trim out one of the designs, so it will fit on the front of the cardstock card.
