Handprint Gnome Matter What - Valentine's Day Keepsake Craft For Kids

These little guys are super easy to make, and they’re the perfect addition to your home decor or as a gift. See how it’s made in less than 10 minutes!

Craft Supplies:

  • GNOME MATTER WHAT PRINTABLE – ON OUR LANDINGPAGE
  • Colored Cardstock
  • White Cardstock – two pieces
  • Tan Cardstock Paper
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Craft Scissors
  • Adhesive
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First things first, if you haven’t already, download and print our free “gnome matter what” file {listed above in the supply list} on a single sheet of colored cardstock.
  • Next up – trace your child’s hand THREE times on your white cardstock.
  • When done tracing, trim out each piece with your paper scissors. Each one will be a beard for your Valentine gnomes.
  • Set those aside.
  • Now grab your patterned scrapbook paper.
  • Cut out THREE large triangle hats. You can do all of them the same color or mix-match them like I did.
  • Finally – cut out a small oval nose shape, for EACH gnome, from the kraft colored cardstock.
  • Now you are ready to assemble it all together.
  • Start off my gluing down the THREE white handprint cutouts, in a row, on the colored cardstock paper. You want the fingertips facing downward but make sure you DON’T cover up the printed words on the bottom.
  • Follow up that step by gluing down {securing} the hats on the palms of the handprint cutouts.
  • Then glue down the oval noses to complete each gnome.
  • To finish off your Paper Valentine Gnome Keepsake, write your name in the provided space and add any other embellishments you see fit, to give it that Valentine’s Day spin! We added hearts on our paper hats but you can add ANYTHING you like!
  • Then display your Valentine’s Day gnome masterpiece proudly for ALL to see!!
  • Don’t forget to snap a few pictures of your finished paper gnome keepsake on your phone and tag us on your social media sites! #gluedtomycrafts
