Popsicle Stick Valentine Gnome Love Bug - Kid Craft Craft Stick Valentine Gnome Craft For Kids To Make Popsicle Stick Valentine Gnome Love Bug - Kid Craft

This popsicle stick love bug craft is a fun way to spread the feelings of love for your Valentine this year. Kids will have hours of fun creating their own adorable gnomes that are perfect holiday decor!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • School Glue
  • Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Craft Scissors
  • Valentine Scrapbook Paper
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Paper Heart Doilies
  • Small Heart Stickers
  • optional materials – stickers, glitter, rhinestones etc.

Directions:

  • First things first – grab three popsicle sticks {three per valentine gnome} as well as the craft paint supplies.
  • Squirt your choice of color in craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Go ahead and paint the THREE popsicle sticks completely.
  • Next up – glue the three painted sticks together to look like a triangle.
  • Set aside the triangle piece to let it dry completely.
  • Repeat for each valentine inspired gnome you want to make today.
  • While that is drying, grab all your paper sheets and scissors.
  • Cut a triangular shape, from the valentine print scrapbook paper, that will be placed within the popsicle stick design and be the body of the gnome.
  • Out of the remaining cardstock, you want to cut out a long beard, a large triangle hat, his antennas and anything else you can think of! These pieces can be any color you like!
  • When done cutting, go ahead and glue all your paper pieces in place, with some school glue on the painted popsicle stick shape. The scrapbook print paper goes on the back of the popsicle stick shape while all the other pieces go on the front.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Valentine’s Day Gnomes – take TWO paper heart doilies and secure them in place on the back of the decorated popsicle stick shape. Follow that up with the heart sticker nose in the center of it all!
  • Then add other embellishments they see fit to complete the look.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!
  • Don’t forget to share pictures with us on your social media sites! I can’t wait to see your valentine gnome craft in action! #gluedtomycrafts

Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
