Craft Foam Heart Love Bug

Today we change YOU to turn ordinary inexpensive craft foam hearts into one-of-a-kind love bug themed pieces within minutes!

Then you can use your BUZZ-WORTHY new friends as “lovestruck” party decor, pretend play pieces OR even as creative Valentines for your child’s classroom party. No matter what you decide to do with your love bug craft masterpieces, this idea is sure to be a real “fast” winner!!!

Turn ordinary inexpensive materials into one-of-a-kind craft foam heart valentine love bugs for your Valentine’s Day celebrations!

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Craft Foam Heart
  • Smaller Craft Foam Hearts
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Stapler
  • Black Marker
  • Extra Large Wiggle Eyes

Directions:

  • You will need ONE large craft foam heart and two smaller craft foam hearts per love bug you are making.
  • First simply staple your smaller craft heart “wings” to the side of the larger craft heart. This will be your love bug’s body.
  • Next grab your pipe cleaner {one per craft} and fold it in half.
  • Staple it to your craft foam shape to make antennas. If desired, curl them a bit with your hands.
  • Now go ahead and grab your markers.
  • Draw on lines to give the “body” of the love bug for definition.
  • To finish off your Craft Foam Heart Love Bug, glue on the wiggle eyes and other embellishments you see fit.
  • Remember to encourage your child to really add their own crafty spin along the way!!!
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely, before displaying proudly!
