Handprint Thanksgiving Gnome Keepsake

WITH MY GNOMIES CRAFT

Are you searching for a special keepsake to commemorate this year’s Thanksgiving? Are you looking for an activity that the whole family can do together? Look no further! This handprint Thanksgiving gnome keepsake will bring smiles to your home and create lasting memories.

With easy-to-follow steps, minimal supplies, and so much hands-on fun, these adorably cute gnomes are sure to become treasured keepsakes for years to come!

Craft Supplies:

  • GNOMIES PRINTABLE
  • PILGRIM HAT PRINTABLE
  • Color Printer
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Light Brown Cardstock Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Dark Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Craft Scissors
  • Glue Stick or Tape Runner

Directions:

  • First things first, if you haven’t already, download and print out our TWO free printables {listed above in the supply list} You will want the hat file printed on white cardstock paper, while the other on the light brown.
  • Next up – trace your child’s hand THREE times on your white cardstock paper.
  • When done tracing, trim out each piece with your paper scissors. Each one will be a beard for your gnomes.
  • Set those aside.
  • Now grab your hat printable and color in the pilgrim hats however you like.
  • Cut out THREE hats.
  • Finally, cut out oval nose shapes, for EACH gnome, from the dark brown colored cardstock.
  • Now you are ready to assemble it all together.
  • Start off my gluing down the THREE white handprint cutouts, in a row, on the light colored cardstock paper. You want the fingertips facing downward but make sure you DON’T cover up the printed words.
  • Follow up that step by gluing down the hats on the palms of the handprint cutouts.
  • Then glue down the oval noses to complete each gnome.
  • To finish off your Paper Pilgrim Gnome Keepsake, add any other embellishments you see fit, to give it that holiday spin!
  • Then display your handprint Thanksgiving gnome masterpiece proudly for ALL to see!!
