Paper Plate Elf - Christmas Kid Craft

The countdown to Christmas has officially begun, and what better way to get into the festive spirit than with a fun and easy DIY craft? If you’re looking for a holiday activity to keep the kids entertained or a cute handmade decoration for your home, this paper plate elf craft is the perfect choice. It’s simple, affordable, and will add just the right touch of holiday cheer to any space.

Follow along as we show you how to create your very own paper plate elf, complete step-by-step instructions. We’ll also provide tips on how you can make this craft unique. By the end, you’ll have a whimsical elf to bring joy and laughter to your holiday season.

Paper Plate Elf - Christmas Kid Craft

Not only is this craft fun, but it doubles as a festive decoration or even a handmade gift. Now, roll up your sleeves and channel your inner artist!

Craft Supplies:

Before you begin, gather the following materials:

  • Large Paper Plate – 1 per craft
  • Skin Tone Craft Paint
  • Red Cardstock Paper
  • Skin Tone Cardstock Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Large White Paper Doily – 1 per craft
  • Stapler
  • Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Black Puffy Paint
  • Pink Puffy Paint
  • Small Red Heart Rhinestones

Directions:

  • First things first – squirt some skin tone craft paint in the center of the paper plate.
  • Next use the paint brush to paint the entire plate with it.
  • When done with the painting step, set it aside to let it dry completely.
  • While that is drying, work on the other elf embellishments. Cut out pointy ears and the Santa hat from the cardstock paper.
  • At this point in time you should also cut the doily in half for the decorative collar to go around his neck.
  • To finish the Paper Plate Elf craft – simple staple on the paper embellishments and draw on a face with the puffy paint.
  • Don’t forget to also add his rhinestone nose!
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit.
  • Then display proudly  for all to see!

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:
