The EASIEST Gnome Handprint Craft Idea For Kids

Inspired by the children’s book No, No, Gnome! by Ashlyn Anstee, today I present to YOU our rather easy Paper Handprint Gnome kid craft idea!!

This latest gnome craft idea from Glued To My Crafts, is absolutely perfect for story time and/or a spring art project idea to pass the time indoors! My personal favorite aspect of this gnome art project idea is the handprint beard. So cute!

So on that note – what are you waiting for? This gnome craft is screaming to be made. Everything you need to know for this adorable paper gnome w/handprint beard craft, can be found below! There’s even a FREE hat printable to get you started even faster today.

Handprint Gnome Keepsake

This is a fun and easy for kids to make! Let’s get crafting today with our paper handprint gnome craft idea.

Craft Supplies:

  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Hat Printable – on our landing page
  • Crayons, Coloring Pencils or Markers
  • Scissors
  • Stapler or Glue
  • Small Star Stickers

Directions:

  • First things first – print out the FREE gnome head printable.
  • Go ahead and color in the printable however you like.
  • When ready, trim out the head shape and discard excess paper.
  • Next up – grab the second piece of white cardstock paper, along with a drawing utensil.
  • Go ahead and trace BOTH of your hands on the paper.
  • Now trim out the traced designs.
  • To finish off your Handprint Gnome keepsake – simply glue {or staple} the TWO handprint cutouts to the back of the gnome hat shape.
  • Then add other embellishments {like star stickers on the hat} to give it your own creative spin.
  • When done decorating, display proudly!!!

OPTIONAL STEP – glue your handprint bearded gnome to another piece of cardstock paper or add a jumbo popsicle stick to the back, to create a puppet!
