This paper plate taco craft is perfect for fans of the book Dragons Love Tacos. It’s simple to make, and your little ones will love seeing their favorite characters come to life. Plus, it’s a great way to celebrate Taco Tuesday!

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate – 1 per craft
  • Shredded Green Paper
  • Tan Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Red Tissue Paper
  • Orange Tissue Paper
  • Tan Tissue Paper
  • Craft Scissors
  • Stapler

Directions:

  1. First have your child paint their paper plate completely tan.
  2. Set aside to let it dry completely.
  3. Once dry, fold the paper plate in half to make the taco shell.
  4. Have your child stuff their taco shell with the shredded green paper {lettuce} and red/tan/orange tissue paper {tomatoes, cheese, ground beef}
  5. Once it’s stuffed, staple the “taco” shut.
  6. Then repeat for however many tacos you want.
  7. Now display them all provided for the dragons to enjoy!

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:

  • 1 Large Paper Plate
  • Shredded Paper
  • Craft Paint
  • Tissue Paper
  • Paint Brush
  • Scissors
  • Stapler

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:

  • First have your child paint their paper plate completely tan.
    1 Large Paper Plate, Craft Paint
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Once dry, fold the paper plate in half to make the taco shell.
  • Have your child stuff their taco shell with the shredded green paper {lettuce} and red/tan/orange tissue paper {tomatoes, cheese, ground beef}
