Paper Plate Taco – Dragons Love Tacos Kids Craft Idea

Today’s Paper Plate Taco Kid Craft goes PERFECTLY with the book titled Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin. And just like the book says – the way to a dragon’s heart is always through his stomach. Sound familiar?

With just some creativity and some inexpensive craft supplies – you and your child can “host” a party for your very own dragons & create some one-of-a-kind paper tacos that are sure to impress the crowd.

So make sure nothing goes wrong at your party, by grabbing your materials RIGHT NOW and getting to work asap on making those delicious “pretend” tacos. Don’t forget to read the Dragons Love Tacos book along with the craft and maybe even make your own tacos to eat afterwards!

Paper Plate Taco Craft Idea For Kids To Make Paper Plate Taco - Dragons Love Tacos Kid Craft Idea

This paper plate taco craft is perfect for fans of the book Dragons Love Tacos. It’s simple to make, and your little ones will love seeing their favorite characters come to life. Plus, it’s a great way to celebrate Taco Tuesday!

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate {one per taco craft}
  • Shredded Green Paper
  • Tan Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Red/Orange/Tan Tissue Paper
  • Kid Friendly Craft Scissors
  • Hand-Held Office Stapler

Directions:

  • First have your child paint their paper plate completely tan.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Once dry, fold the paper plate in half to make the taco shell.
  • Have your child stuff their taco shell with the shredded green paper {lettuce} and red/tan/orange tissue paper {tomatoes, cheese, ground beef}
  • Once it’s stuffed, staple the “taco” shut.
  • Then repeat for however many tacos you want.
  • Now display them all provided for the dragons to enjoy!

  • Scissors
