Today’s Paper Plate Taco Kid Craft goes PERFECTLY with the book titled Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin. And just like the book says – the way to a dragon’s heart is always through his stomach.
With just some creativity and some inexpensive supplies – you and your child can “host” a party for dragons & create some one-of-a-kind tacos that are sure to impress the crowd.
So make sure nothing goes wrong at your party, by grabbing your supplies and getting to work asap on making those tacos. Don’t forget to read the book along with the craft and maybe even make your own tacos to eat afterwards! Happy crafting my friends!
Supplies:
* Large Paper Plate
* Shredded Green Paper
* Tan Paint
* Paint Brush
* Red/Orange/Tan Tissue Paper
* Scissors
* Stapler
Directions:
* First have your child paint their paper plate completely tan. Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
* Once dry, fold the paper plate in half to make the taco shell.
* Have your child stuff their taco shell with the shredded green paper {lettuce} and red/tan/orange tissue paper {tomatoes, cheese, ground beef}
* Once it’s stuffed, staple the “taco” shut. Then repeat for however many tacos you want.
