Paper Love Tacos For Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day Taco Paper Plate Craft Idea

Although I originally intended for these for only the Valentine’s Day holiday, let’s face it – EVERY DAY is a good day to make {and eat} some tacos! So please don’t feel obligated to only bring it out for the lovestruck holiday.

On that note, be sure to mark this art project idea down to be done on repeat, over and over again, any day of the year! Perhaps even bring it to the table for teacher appreciation or a quirky Christmas craft idea!

Another great thing about this paper love taco craft idea? All the supplies can be purchased at Dollar Tree, making this a REALLY inexpensive craft idea. The green crinkle paper is the lettuce and the doily heart is the “meat.” That’s it! From there, you can add other embellishments but I like the simplicity of the two supplies I used 🙂

Anyways – I’m sure you have an appetite for the crafty tutorial now! Find all the details and free provided printable below! Happy crafting, my friends!

Kid Approved – Paper Love Tacos For Valentine’s Day Celebrating

This Valentine’s Day, show how much you care with a handmade paper taco! Add a special touch to your sweetheart’s day by crafting an adorable, tasty treat they can enjoy without all the calories.

Craft Supplies:

  • Taco Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Paper Scissors
  • Crayons or Markers
  • Heart Paper Doilies
  • Green Crinkle Paper
  • Stapler

Directions:

  • First things first – grab the FREE printable listed above and print it out on one sheet of white cardstock. You only need one taco printable per craft. Print as many as you like!
  • Have children decorate the inside of their taco circle shape however they like with crayons and/or markers.
  • Once done, use scissors to trim out the circle shape. Discard the excess paper.
  • Go ahead and fold your circle in half, on the dotted line, with the coloring on the outside.
  • Grab your paper heart shape and place it inside the folded circle you just made.
  • Now grab a handful of green crinkle paper and stuff it inside the taco, as well.
  • Next grab the stapler and staple the corners, so the taco shape stays in place and the insides don’t fall out.
  • Then if desired – add other embellishments you see fit to your Paper Taco Friend before displaying it proudly for all to see!
