Taco Cards For Valentine’s Day
Can we TACO about how awesome my latest handmade card using cupcake liners, is?! Like seriously – TACOS! Everybody loves TACOS! Right?! And who would have thought you could make one out of a PAPER MUFFIN CUP & TISSUE PAPER SQUARES in a handmade card format? I bet you didn’t…
Not to mention, this DIY handmade card idea is perfect for ANYONE to make and give away ANY DAY of the year! Think birthdays, Valentine’s Day, thank you cards or just because moments! Throw in a small gift card to a local taco place and man – you have an awesome gift to give.
No elaborate materials needed or hard to follow steps. I promise! Simply flatten one tan colored cupcake liner, add some tissue paper squares in between for the filling and glue it all together to make the smiling taco card within minutes. I’m telling you, it’s really easy peasy steps on this taco craft idea!

Need a clever handmade card idea for Valentine’s Day? Why not recreate this PUNNY Cupcake Liner Taco Friend Card Idea today!
Card Supplies:
- Tan or Brown Cupcake Liners
- Pre-folded Cardstock Cards
- Yellow Tissue Paper
- Red Tissue Paper
- Green Tissue Paper
- Glue Stick or Tape Runner
- Black Sharpie Marker
- Small Wiggle Eye Stickers
- optional materials – embellishments like small heart stickers
Directions:
- First make your card and card front. I went with a 5×7 card. You just need to make sure your cupcake liner taco will fit to the front of the card.
- Now you are ready for the “taco” part. Grab ONE tan cupcake liner and flatten/fold it in half. Set aside.
- Grab your different colors of tissue paper.
- Cut or tear a few small squares for the “inside” of the taco.
- Glue them into the inside of the folded cupcake liner to look like lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Trim up/add more as you see fit.
- Next up – adhere the finished “taco” you just made, to the center of the card front.
- Glue on some wiggle eyes and draw on a face with your markers to give it life.
- Now grab your marker {or stickers} and write out “let’s TACO about it” or “let’s TACO how awesome you are!“
- When done, set aside your masterpieces to let it dry completely before gifting them away!

- Cardstock Cards
- Tissue Paper

Instructions
