With its vibrant colors and unique design, it will no doubt be an eye-catching piece. So gather up some coffee filters, supplies from home or the store front and get ready for an afternoon full of crafting fun.

Coffee Filter Taco Craft Idea For Kids

Taco Craft Made With Coffee Filters

It’s an easy-to-make craft that can provide lots of opportunities for creativity. Not only is it great entertainment, but it’s also educational and teaches them fine motor skills.

Craft Supplies:

  • Unbleached Coffee Filters
  • Green Cardstock Paper
  • Red Cardstock Paper
  • Yellow Cardstock Paper
  • Tan Cardstock Paper
  • Craft Scissors
  • Stapler
  • optional material – wiggle eyes & marker

Directions:

  • First things first – grab one or two coffee filters and your stapler.
  • Fold them in half to make the taco shell.
  • Have your child stuff their taco shell with small, thin paper strips – green paper {lettuce} and red/tan/yellow tissue paper {tomatoes, cheese, ground beef}
  • Once it’s stuffed, staple the “taco” shut.
  • If desired – add a smiley face and wiggle eyes to the front.
  • Then repeat for however many tacos you want.
  • Now display them all provided for the dragons to enjoy!
