Hi friends! To start off the fresh new year on Glued To My Crafts, today I’m sharing this Paper Plate Donut kid craft tutorial with you all and I hope you are inspired by it!

This cut and paste art tutorial is a SWEET craft tutorial that is great for ALL ages! With only a paper plate, tissue paper and some school glue – it’s super simple, inexpensive and fun to “bake” up in one afternoon!

Paper Plate Doughnut Craft

Whether you decide to make it on a rainy afternoon or in the spirit of the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday, this is a MUST DO craft to make with your child today!

Throw in some chunky glitter for sprinkles and really see those smiles get wide on their face. You can even change up the colors and really make it your own as you become the crafty baker!

Paper Plate Donut {Kid Craft}

Looking for a fun and easy craft to do with your kids? This tissue paper and paper plate donut craft is perfect!

Craft Supplies:

  • Large Paper Plate
  • Pink Tissue Paper
  • Brown Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • School Glue
  • Craft Scissors
  • Glitter or Glitter Glue

Directions:

  • Using your scissors, cut out a small circle from the center of the paper plate. This is your donut shape and from here on out we will decorate it.
  • Discard the inner circle you just cut out.
  • Squirt some paint on the paper plate and have your child paint it completely brown.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Cut your pink tissue paper into small squares.
  • Put some glue on the donut and have your child place the tissue paper on top to represent the frosting.
  • To finish it off, draw some squiggles of glue and sprinkle some glitter on top. {shake off excess}
  • Then let your Paper Plate Doughnut dry completely before displaying proudly.
