“You Donut Know How Much I Love You!”
Keep scrolling to see our Paper Donut Love Frame kid craft idea w/free printable template come to life within a matter of minutes!
I don’t know about you but I get super excited when I come up with craft ideas that can be recreated and/or gifted all year long. I’m one of those people who is constantly thinking of the “two fold.” If I buy or create this for a particular purpose, will I be able to use it for x, y and z down the road?
With that in mind, that’s what I had swirling through my crafty brain when I came up with this “You Donut Know How Much I Love You” kid craft idea.
I originally had planned to keep it in the Father’s Day archives of our website {because that’s just the season we are in} but after thinking long and hard, I decided to keep the doughnut love frame craft idea more neutral so you can have your child recreate it for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, a best friend, a caregiver, a teacher – whoever comes to mind, whatever time of year it is!
Plus with the “hole” in the center of the provided doughnut printable, created for a small picture to be placed in, this idea is also great for those who want to frame something as a gift. On that note, you have few options when the craft is completed. Frame it, turn it into a card, place it in a scrapbook page or just give it as is. I don’t want to say I thought of everything {because I didn’t!} but I hope this post sparks some creativity within you and your child & that our idea comes in handy for you!
So are you ready to make this craft?! Find all the details below for our “Donut Know How Much” idea, as well as the free printable to get you started with ease {a huge thank you to LisaMarkleSparkles for the use of her awesome doughnut graphic in today’s freebie!} Enjoy!

Make It Your Own:
- Turn this idea into a gift by framing the finished piece in a beautiful 8×10″ frame. Just follow the above steps and then place it in a frame like you normally would. I recommend Dollar Tree for inexpensive frames that are still impressive!
- This finished piece would also look great as a scrapbook page. Just glue it down to the center of a large piece of 12×12″ paper and slide it all into a clear protective sleeve.
- You can also make this piece into a card within minutes. Follow the above steps but add the finished craft to the front of large piece of poster board folded in half.
- Don’t have a printer? No worries either! You can always hand-drawn a donut design on regular computer paper and still complete the craft the same way. Although I love sharing tutorials with free printables {I love making it super easy for my readers} it always makes my crafty heart happy when I see people draw their own ideas from our posts!
