Directions:

  • First things first – print our FREE teacup card printable listed above. You only need one printable per handmade card. Feel free to print as many as you like but the free file is only for PERSONAL USE or in a classroom setting.
  • Once you have the teacup printable printed out, grab your choice of coloring medium and paper craft scissors.
  • Color in your printable however you like. The section that has the flower in the center of the teacup, will be the front of your card.
  • When you are done coloring in the printable, cut out the teacup card shape with your scissors.
  • Discard excess paper.
  • Now that you have your cutout, do you see the line on the printable separating the two teacups? Go ahead and fold it in half, right on the line, to create the teacup card. You want the design/your coloring you just did, on the outside of the card.
  • At this time, you can go ahead and either color in the inside of the card and/or write a quick message. I personally love the saying “You Are BEAU-TEA-FUL!” or “You are my cup of TEA!”
  • Next grab one large paper doily.
  • Use scissors to cut the doily in half. Straight up the center.
  • Go ahead and now secure ONE HALF of the doily piece to the back/bottom of your teacup card.
  • FINALLY – add any other embellishments you see fit to the card {like paper flowers, rhinestones, glitter etc.}
  • Then give your custom piece to someone special today!

Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
