Handprint Owl Hug Card Craft

Spread some love and create a special keepsake with this handprint owl hug card craft! Kids and adults alike will love making this fun project together.

Craft Supplies:

  • Owl Printable – on our landing page
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Large Scallop Paper Punch
  • Stapler
  • Ribbon
  • Googly Eyes
  • Glue
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First things first – print out the provided owl printable, on a single sheet of cardstock paper. This can be printed on ANY color you like or you can use crayons to color it in.
  • Now trim out the owl body shape and discard the excess paper.
  • At this point in time you should add the scallop paper punches with googly eyes and then the triangle beak nose to the center, to give the cutout design an owl look. When done decoraring, set it aside for now.
  • Next grab another sheet of colored cardstock paper, as well as a pencil.
  • Trace your hand TWICE on the paper.
  • Trim out both designs.
  • Now grab the ribbon and cut off TWO long pieces.
  • To finish off the paper owl hug craft, simply staple the ribbon and handprint cutouts to each side of the body cutout.
  • Add any other embellishments to give it that customized look.
  • Then display as is or gift away to someone special!
