Painted handprint flower cards are not only a fun and engaging activity to do with your children or students, but also a heartwarming keepsake that will be cherished for years to come.
Craft Supplies:
- Cardstock Paper
- Washable Craft Paint
- Paint Brush
- Small Paper Plate
- Paper Trimmer
- Glue Stick
- Green Marker
Directions:
- First create your paper card, out of a piece of colored cardstock paper. This can be any size you want.
- Next up – grab another piece of cardstock paper {a little tone} and trim it down, so it fits on the front of your folded card.
- Now take that smaller piece of paper and help your child add their painted handprint to the center of it. This can be done by either painting their hand with a paint brush, then pressing on the paper. Or having them stick their hand in paint on a paper plate, then on the paper. Either way will work!
- When done with the painting step, allow the paint to dry completely while sending your child to the sink for a fresh washup!
- Now for the final steps – take your green marker and draw a stem to make the handprint look like a flower on the card.
- At this point in time you can add any other embellishments you see fit.
- When ready, add some glue to the back of your handprint paper piece and secure it in place, on the front of your card. Press down to make sure it sticks.
- Finally – add a message in the inside of the card & mail to receiver.
