Not only will this be an enjoyable activity that everyone can participate in together but it also provides an opportunity to get creative and use their imagination. So grab your materials and let’s get crafting!

Craft Supplies:

  • TEACUP PRINTABLE – SPRING LANDING PAGE
  • Cardstock Paper {for the printable}
  • Cardstock Paper {for the body}
  • White Cardstock Paper {beard}
  • Tan Cardstock Paper {nose and feet}
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive
  • Flower Stickers

Instructions:

  • First things first, grab the free “teacup hat” file {listed above in the supply list} and print it out on your choice of colored cardstock paper {I did pink.}
  • Now trim out the hat piece from the printable and discard the excess paper.
  • Next up – grab your white cardstock paper and pencil.
  • Trace both of your child’s hands {one at a time, in separate locations} on the paper.
  • When done tracing, trim them both out. This will be the beard for your teacup gnome.
  • Finally – fold in half and trim down another choice of colored cardstock paper {I did green} for his body and cut out a small oval nose shape from the brown cardstock paper.
  • You now have all your pieces, it’s time to start assembling! Grab your choice of adhesive and all your paper cutouts.
  • Start off by gluing the two handprint cutouts {his beard} under the teacup paper piece.
  • Follow that up gluing on his nose to the center and the remaining paper on the back.
  • To finish off your Tea Cup Gnome Keepsake, add some customization with some flower stickers.
  • Now you can stop here or add any other embellishments you see fit, to give it your own personal spin!
  • Then display your handprint bearded gnome piece proudly for ALL to see!!

Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
