Cookie Craft Idea For Kids

Let me start off by saying THIS is going to be the EASIEST craft you EVER pull together with your toddler. I say this a lot on Glued To My Crafts but this time I really mean it. Like REALLY-REALLY mean it!

If your child loves the beloved children’s book story “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” like my son did, then I think your child is going to love crafting up their own version of a pretend paper chocolate chip cookie within a matter of minutes! I’ve made it super easy today!

To complete this paper cookie craft all you need is our free blank template printable {found below} some brown tissue paper, black cardstock and a few squiggles of school glue. Very basic materials you probably already have on hand!

If your child doesn’t like that particular combo, you can always pull out various supplies like pom poms, paper scraps, loose craft glitter, confetti – anything to make that PERFECT COOKIE {in their eyes of what the mouse would like!}

Paper and Tissue Paper Chocolate Chip Cookie Craft For Toddlers

Have the little ones join in on the fun with this super easy and exciting tissue paper cookie craft! It’s a great way for them to get creative and let their imaginations run wild!

Craft Supplies:

  • Cookie Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Tissue Paper
  • Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Heart Paper Punch

Directions:

  • First you will want to cut your brown tissue paper into smalls squares {get the kids involved in this step so they can practice those cutting skills!}
  • If you haven’t already, go ahead and print the free provided template above. You only need ONE PRINT per cookie craft.
  • Next put a good amount of glue in the center of the large circle in the printable.
  • Have your child place the tissue paper squares on top of the glue, until the circle is completely covered.
  • Once done, punch out several small hearts or circles {the chocolate chips} out of the black cardstock.
  • To finish off the Paper Chocolate Chip Cookie craft – glue on the black pieces all over the tissue covered circle, for chocolate chips and display proudly for all to see!
