Get crafty with your kids this Valentine’s Day! Here’s a simple tutorial for making a card that is sure to wow your loved ones.
Craft Supplies:
- Blank Toast Printable – on our landing page
- White Cardstock Paper or Brown
- Washable Craft Paint
- Large Foam Paint Brush
- Small Heart Stickers
- Small Paper Plate
- Baby Wipes
- optional – crayons, glitter, rhinestones etc.
Directions:
- First grab the punny valentine toast card printable listed above in the supply list.
- Print the free file, on either a single sheet of white cardstock paper or brown.
- If you choose too, now is the perfect time to color in the “toast” design. If not, move ahead to the next step.
- Next grab your choice of color in craft paint.
- Squirt the paint on your paper plate.
- Pick a hand.
- Paint your child’s chosen hand completely and press it in the center of the printable, right in the middle of the bread slice design.
- Lift up their hand and clean off excess paint with a baby wipe & a quick trip to the sink.
- While they are cleaning up, go ahead and grab a heart sticker & place it in the palm of the painted jelly handprint design {or paint on a small heart instead!}
- Set aside to let it dry completely.
- Add other embellishments you see fit, as well as having children sign the bottom.
