Paper New Year Toast Craft Idea For Kids!

Our paper piece of toast is SMILING big because he is welcoming in the new year in style! Adults may be clinking their champagne glasses and saying a real toast that night BUT I think this paper craft idea will be much more fun {for kids and adults!}

For this New Year’s Eve themed art project tutorial, all you need is our free toast file, white paper and a few embellishments to bring it to life.

It’s seriously the EASIEST New Year’s Eve craft idea ever and you don’t even need to run to the store to make it happen. You can easily use up those random craft supplies from the holidays or just wing it by bringing out the crayon box & the paper scraps.

So many ways to decorate and make him the life of the party! I just hope we inspire you with this clever “toast to a new year” craft idea today!

Toast To A New Year - Paper Craft For Kids!

It’s a clever PUNNY craft! We are going to TOAST to new year with a little paper craft that is sure to bring BIG smiles that night!

Craft Supplies:

  • Toast Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Markers, Colored Pencils etc.
  • Scissors
  • Paper Scraps
  • Gold Glitter Paper
  • Glue Stick or School Glue

Directions:

  • First things first – add the provided toast file {up above in the supply list} onto your computer.
  • Find it in your downloads file and right click it, so you can print it out on white cardstock. You only need ONE print per toast craft.
  • Now that you have the printed design, go ahead and grab your choice of coloring utensil. I went with crayons.
  • Go ahead and color in your “toast” design however you like. I went with dark brown on the outer and a light shading of yellow in the center.
  • Once done coloring, go ahead and trim out the toast piece with your scissors.
  • Discard excess white cardstock paper.
  • Now grab your gold glitter paper and scrapbook paper.
  • Cut out a small square piece of “butter” from the gold glitter paper.
  • Cut out a simple triangle party hat shape from the scrapbook paper.
  • Grab your choice of glue.
  • Secure the party hat on top of the toast, while the “butter” will go in the center as his nose.
  • Finish off the “toast to a new year” paper craft by drawing on dotted eyes and squiggle mouth with the black Sharpie marker.
  • Add any other embellishments you see fit and display proudly for all to see!

Toast To A New Year Paper Craft

It's a clever PUNNY craft! We are going to TOAST to new year with a little paper craft that is sure to bring BIG smiles that night!

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:

  • Cardstock Paper
  • New Year's Printable - Landing Page
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Embellishments
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick or School Glue

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:

  • First print out our provided printable, in color, on a single sheet of white cardstock paper. You only need one print per craft.
  • Now that you have the printed design, go ahead and grab your choice of coloring utensil. I went with crayons.
