Popsicle Stick New Year's Eve Gnome

This super unique New Year’s Eve craft is a must-try! With all the supplies and directions you need right here, it’s easy to make this adorable party gnome in no time. He’ll add some festive cheer to your home, while you welcome in the new year!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Wood Sticks
  • School Glue
  • Craft Paint {gold, black or silver}
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Paint Brush
  • Scissors
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Tan Cardstock Paper
  • Party Hat Printable – on our landing page
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • The fun starts here! First things first – grab three popsicle sticks {three per gnome} as well as the craft paint supplies.
  • Squirt your craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Grab your paint brush and go ahead & paint the THREE popsicle sticks completely.
  • Next up – glue the three painted sticks together to look like a triangle with the school glue.
  • Set aside the triangle piece to let it dry completely.
  • While that is drying, grab all your paper sheets and scissors.
  • Go ahead and cut out ONE of the mini hat shapes from the provided printable.
  • Out of the remaining pieces of cardstock paper, you want to cut out a handprint shape for the beard, a large triangle for his body and of course, a small oval shape for his nose.
  • To finish off the Craft Stick New Year’s Eve Gnome – go ahead and glue all your paper pieces in place, with some school glue on the painted popsicle stick shape. The larger triangle shape will go on the back of the popsicle stick shape, while all the other pieces go on the front.
  • Then add other embellishments they see fit to complete the look. I added stars on his beard and wrote the year {whether the outgoing or incoming} on the fingertips.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!
  • Don’t forget to share pictures with us on your social media sites! #gluedtomycrafts
