Directions:

  • First things first – grab your three jumbo popsicle sticks and glue them together to look like a simple triangle shape.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Repeat for each party hat you want to make today.
  • When the popsicle stick shape is secure enough, go ahead and squirt your choice of color in craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Go ahead and paint your newly made popsicle stick shape however you like!
  • Set it aside again, to allow it to dry completely.
  • Next up – grab your pencil, scissors and choice of scrapbook paper.
  • Trace the popsicle stick design on the scrapbook paper, to make the inner part of the hat.
  • Cut out the traced shape and trim it down slightly, so it will fit inside your popsicle stick shape from earlier.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Party Hats – glue your triangle cutout to the back of the painted popsicle stick shape.
  • Then get the glitter glue out, pom poms – whatever you desire – to decorate your piece for a festive party look! Mine has tinsel and glitter pom poms glued on mine but feel free to “jazz” up your pieces however you like!
  • Once everything is glued down, set aside to let it ALL dry completely before displaying proudly!
  • Don’t forget to share pictures of your finished craft stick party hats on your various social media sites! #gluedtomycrafts
