With only a few materials, you’ll be able to help your kiddos create an unforgettable way of saying goodbye to 2022 while getting them excited about what lies ahead in the coming months.

So grab those supplies and start prepping now — let’s make some pom-pom stamped popcorn creations that will wow!

Craft Supplies:

  • New Year Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Yellow Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Wooden Clothespins
  • Large Sized Pom Pom
  • Loose Craft Glitter

Directions:

  • First print the free blank popcorn box template listed above in the supply list. My suggestion is on white paper but feel free to change that up. You only need ONE print per popcorn craft.
  • Next up – squirt some  yellow craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Go ahead and assemble the “paint brush” by pinching the pom pom in between the clothespin.
  • Now dip the pom pom paint brush in the yellow paint, then on the printable, just above the popcorn box design.
  • Repeat under you have the desired “popped popcorn” look you want. You can make your butter covered popcorn as tall or as thin as you like!
  • To finish off the Pom Pom Stamped Popcorn craft, sprinkle loose craft glitter on top of the wet paint for added sparkle.
  • When done crafting, allow it all to dry completely before you display it proudly for ALL to see!
  • Then snap a few pictures of your New Year’s Eve craft creations and share them with us on our Facebook page to admire!
  • BTW – if you don’t want to get messy with paint today, you can glue on yellow craft pom poms on top, just like we did in our unicorn cupcake tutorial!

Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
