A Popcorn Craft Idea That Is Worthy of An Oscar!

Ready for another POPPIN’ good craft tutorial from Glued To My Crafts?! Of course you are!!!

When I think of summer, I think of movie marathons and delicious buttery theater popcorn. So that’s exactly what inspired this Popsicle Stick Popcorn kid craft idea! It’s super fun and it’s the perfect excuse to watch some good movies in honor afterwards!

Put your crafting skills to the test with this fun, creative popcorn box craft project!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • Small Paper Plate
  • White Cotton Balls
  • Red Craft Paint
  • Yellow Craft Paint
  • School Glue
  • Craft Scissors

Directions:

  • First assemble the base of your popcorn box by gluing your popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {7 next to each and two across}
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Now grab your small paper plate and scissors.
  • Cut it in half.
  • Reserve one half for today’s craft and the other for a rainy day.
  • Next grab your cotton balls.
  • Put a good layer of glue on the paper plate half and then place the cotton balls on top until it’s completely covered.
  • At this point in time you should also add a little yellow paint on top of the cotton balls to represent the butter.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Popcorn craft, have children paint some stripes to the front of the popsicle stick design and finish off my gluing the popsicle stick piece to the paper plate half.
  • Let it dry completely before displaying proudly!!!

Popsicle Stick Popcorn Craft

Worthy of an Oscar! It's fun and the perfect excuse to watch some good movies in honor of your creation afterwards!

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:

  • 9 Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • Craft Paint
  • White Cotton Balls
  • 1 Small Paper Plate
  • School Glue
  • 1 Scissors

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:

  • First assemble the base of your popcorn box by gluing your popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {7 next to each and two across}

  • Cut it in half.
