Sheep {and lambs} seem to be a staple icon around the spring and Easter season, so I recently tag teamed with my son and I’m sharing this creative popcorn sheep kid craft idea with you all today!
The best part about this creative craft is that you can get your diy on AND snack at the same time. I think that’s a win-win in mine {and my son’s} book!
Another reason to celebrate this craft? It’s super CHEAP! We are talking cents for this idea. So don’t feel limited by just doing it at home. Think large settings like at church, your child’s school or maybe even host a crafty playdate with some friends today!
Whatever you decide to do, we hope our idea brings TONS of crafty fun your way! Happy crafting, my friends! Don’t forget to share pictures with us! #gluedtomycrafts
THIS CRAFT IS NOT INTENDED FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN. PLEASE SUPERVISE CHILDREN WHILE THEY EAT POPCORN SINCE THIS SNACK CAN POSE A CHOKING HAZARD.
Popcorn Sheep Craft Supplies:
- Sandwich Baggie {the ziplock kind – one per sheep craft}
- Popped Popcorn {I think about 2-3 cups per craft}
- Black Cardstock
- White Cardstock
- Kid Friendly Paper Scissors
- Wiggle Eyes {two per sheep craft}
- Tape Runner Adhesive or Large Glue Dots
- optional – embellishments like stickers, bows, glitter etc.
Directions:
- First things first – stuff your sandwich baggie with the popped popcorn. Just a handful {or two} inside the bag until it’s nice and full.
- Now seal off your baggie at the top. Set aside.
- Grab all your cardstock paper and scissors. Using our pictures as an example, cut out a large circular head, some ears, legs, hair etc for your sheep.
- Finally – to finish off the Plastic Baggie and Popcorn Sheep craft, glue all your paper pieces to the stuffed baggie.
- Go ahead and also glue down the wiggle eyes on his head.
- Then display your piece for ALL to see!
Make it your own – if you decide popcorn isn’t your thing {that’s totally cool!} you can also use pre-shredded white crinkle paper that you can find at the Dollar Tree. The steps are still the same from above but you would be just doing a different “sheep wool” in the inside.

I love it! We are installing elders at our church Sunday, quoting the scripture “They smell like aheep.” This will make a perfect way to decorate the table and have a little snack too. My grandchildren can make them.
