Valentine's Day Thumbprint Popcorn Card Idea

Make a thumbprint popcorn card with this fun and easy craft idea from Glued To My Crafts. Fun for kids to make, and makes the perfect homemade valentine!

Craft Supplies:

  • Popcorn Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons, Markers or Coloring Pencils
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • School Glue or Glue Stick
  • Washable YELLOW Ink Pad
  • Baby Wipes
  • Small Heart Stickers

Directions:

  • First things first – print out the free template listed above in the supply list.
  • Print it out on your choice of colored cardstock paper. You only need ONE print per popcorn craft.
  • Next up – go ahead and color in the popcorn box in the printable however you like. I added red on mine but you can change this up as well.
  • When done coloring, go ahead and trim out the popcorn design. Discard excess paper.
  • Now glue the popcorn box design in the center of another piece of cardstock paper.
  • Finally, to finish the craft, place your thumb on the yellow ink pad and then on the printable to make several fingerprints AKA buttered popcorn, until the remaining white area is completely covered and the box looks “full.”
  • When done with the ink step, use baby wipes and a quick trip to the sink to clean up your finger.
  • To finish the Thumbprint You Make My Heart POP kid craft idea, go ahead and add some small heart stickers inside {and around} the popcorn box to really tie the theme together.
  • Then let it all dry completely before gifting or displaying it proudly!
