Welcome to all the creative and crafty parents out there! Are you looking for a fun way to spend some quality time with your little ones?

Or maybe you’re a teacher looking for a cute and heartfelt project for your students. Well, look no further because we have just the thing for you – our latest and greatest “handprint bear hug” craft idea!

This adorable brown bear craft activity combines creativity, personalization, and lots of hugs into one perfect project.

So on that note, get ready to gather up those art supplies and spread some love with this heartwarming DIY that is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. Happy crafting, my friends!

Handprint Bear Hug From Me Card

Get the little ones involved in sending some warm and fuzzy #happymail to someone special, with today’s Handprint Brown Bear Hug craft idea!

Craft Supplies:

  • Free Bear Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Crayons or Markers
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Brown Ribbon
  • Googly Eyes
  • School Glue
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First things first – print out the bear body printable, on a single sheet of white cardstock paper.
  • Decorate the shape with crayons and trim it out afterwards.
  • Discard excess paper.
  • Next grab your remaining sheet of brown cardstock paper, as well as the pencil.
  • Trace your hand TWICE on the paper.
  • Trim out both designs.
  • Now grab the ribbon and cut off TWO long pieces.
  • To finish off the paper handprint hug craft, simply staple the ribbon and handprint cutouts to each side of the bear cutout.
  • Add any other embellishments {along with the two wiggle eyes} to bring the brown bear to life.
  • Then display as is or gift away to spread some cheer to those you love the most!
