- Color Printer
- White Cardstock Paper
- Colored Cardstock Paper
- Pen or Pencil
- Craft Scissors
- School Glue
- Extra Large Red Pom Pom
- Glitter Glue or Loose Craft Glitter
Directions:
- First things first, if you haven’t already, save and print our “you are the sweetest” file {listed above in the supply list} on a single sheet of white cardstock. You only need ONE print per handprint cupcake keepsake craft.
- Next up – trace your child’s hand on their choice of colored cardstock paper.
- When done tracing, trim out the design with your paper scissors. This is now the frosting for the craft.
- Go ahead and glue the handprint cutout to the cupcake printable. You want the fingers to be facing downward.
- To finish off your Paper Cupcake Keepsake, adhere the pom pom “cherry” on top of the cupcake design.
- Now go ahead and also add on tons of sprinkles & glitter glue embellishments. Really layer it on!
- When done decorating, let it dry completely.
- Then display your paper cupcake masterpiece proudly for ALL to see!!

Customize It:
- If you don’t have a printer to take advantage of our free file, no worries! You can always hand-draw a cupcake liner shape on some paper and use scrapbook letter stickers for the lettering instead!
- BTW – if you don’t want to do a paper handprint for the cupcake frosting, you can also make a PAINTED one instead! Just paint the palm of your child’s hand with a washable paint and then press it down in the center, right above the liner. The choice is yours on this cute DIY.
