If you have been a long time follower of mine, you already know that I absolutely LOVE sharing keepsake printables on our website.

Actually, truth be told, these types of paper and paint craft ideas are actually one my favorite things to create and share on Glued To My Crafts.

I just LOVE the thought that so many people have taken advantage of our free keepsake files and have created memories, not only for themselves but for others as well. Man – that warms my heart so much to type right now.

Anyways… with Mother’s Day just right around the corner, I have yet ANOTHER keepsake idea that is PERFECT to make and gift in honor of mom. This time with a “baby bear” theme that I hope you love “bear-y” much! Like seriously. I hope you really are inspired to recreate this “baby bear keepsake” with your little one today!

To complete this craft, all you need to do is download my FREE From Your Baby Bear Keepsake Printable below, print it out on a single sheet of white cardstock and add your child’s sweet little footprint in the center. Then finish off with a few paper and crayon embellishments & gift away! Easy peasy stuff that I’m sure you and your child can pull off!

So my friends – I’ll let you get to it. You can find everything you need to know in the full tutorial below, as well as the free Happy Mother’s Day from your little bear download file. It’s super easy – promise!

Happy crafting, my friends!!! Don’t forget to share pictures with us on our Facebook page when you are done {and before you gift it away – of course!} I can’t wait to see how adorable your child’s footprint mama’s baby bear turns out! #gluedtomycrafts

  • Grab your brown craft paint and small paper plate.
  • Squirt a small amount of craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Pick a foot – any foot {or hand!} Doesn’t matter 🙂
  • Now use the paint brush to paint the bottom of your child’s foot completely brown.
  • Working quickly, press their painted foot DOWN in the center of the printable to create the bear print.
  • Carefully lift their foot off the paper.
  • Clean off excess brown craft paint from their foot with a few baby wipes and a quick trip to the sink.
  • Next up, use the remaining brown paint on the paper plate, go ahead and paint on two small ears on top of the footprint you just made on the paper.
  • Now set aside the paper to let the paint dry completely before moving on.
  • When the footprint on the paper is dry, go ahead and glue the wiggle eyes on top of it, as well as a small oval shaped “nose” to complete the bear look.

  • Add other embellishments you see fit {maybe some glitter or small heart stickers!}
  • Then display/gift away proudly!
