In this post, I’ve included a gender-neutral printable template, so all you need to do is print the file, grab some green paint and have your children add their footprint to complete the Christmas themed craft. It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to do it!

Christmas Keepsake Craft Supplies:
* Free Christmas Car Template Printable {GRAB IT ON BOX.COM}
* White Cardstock Paper {affiliate link on Amazon}
* Color Printer
* Washable Green Craft Paint {affiliate link on Amazon}
* Large Foam Paint Brush
* Small Paper Plate
* Baby Wipes
* Markers {black and brown being important}
optional materials – embellishments like glitter, paper scraps, rhinestones etc.
Directions:
* First grab the Footprint Christmas Tree printable.
* Print it out, in color, on a single sheet of white cardstock. You only need ONE print per keepsake craft.
* Now grab your green craft paint and paper plate.
* Squirt some on a paper plate and pick one of your child’s feet {any foot will do!}
* Paint the bottom of your child’s foot completely green.
* Working fast, press the painted foot on top of the car, in the printable. You want the print to look like it’s floating on top of the car.
* Now lift up their foot and quickly remove excess paint from their foot with a few baby wipes & a quick trip to the tub.
* After cleaning off their foot, it’s time to embellish it! Go ahead and grab your various embellishments to give the green “footprint” on the paper, the look of a Christmas tree tied to the top of a car. I did ours with Sharpie markers and small rhinestones.
* When done decorating, have children sign the bottom somewhere so you can remember who and when it was made.
* Then display/gift away proudly!

Me and my preschooler made this craft for my hubby, because he will traveiling a lot during chrismas season so he will have at least some kind of christmas decorations in his hotel.
