NUTS About You Handprint Craft

Today’s Handprint “I’m Nuts About You” Keepsake Printable is the perfect excuse to get messy with the kids AND make an adorable crafty piece for family members {and yourself} to enjoy for years to come.

Other than the printable, all you need is a brown crayon, brown craft paint, a paint brush and a few heart stickers to tie it together. That’s it! Very basic materials you probably have on hand right now!

As for the steps – those are even easier! Just have your child color in the acorn top with the crayon and then add their painted handprint to the center, to complete the “nuts” themed craft. Then give away as is or even turn it into a simple card by attaching to some construction paper. It’s honestly so simple to make it your own, you have NO excuse NOT to do it!

Our Handprint I’m Nuts About You Keepsake kids craft idea is perfect to make and gift to someone special today!

Craft Supplies:

  • Nuts About You Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes

Directions:

  • First grab the acorn printable listed above in the supply list.
  • Print it out on a single sheet of white cardstock. You need one print per keepsake you want to make today.
  • Now grab your brown crayon.
  • Color in the acorn top in the printable.
  • When done coloring, grab your craft paint, paper plate and foam brush.
  • Squirt some paint on the paper plate.
  • Paint the palm of your child’s hand completely brown and press it in the center of the printable, right underneath the acorn top.
  • Gently lift up their hand to reveal the handprint design underneath.
  • Clean off excess paint with a few baby wipes and a quick trip to the sink.
  • Go ahead and add some heart stickers all over the acorn design, to tie the theme together.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Add other embellishments you see fit, to give your child’s Nuts About You keepsake piece a personalized look.
