Flamingo Keepsake Craft
Not only is it great to make during the summer break BUT it’s also a great flamingo gift idea to make for someone AMAZING in your life!
When done creating your “fla-mazing” keepsake piece, slip in a frame for displaying or 12×12 scrapbook album for safe keeping. You could even mail it in a flat envelope!!
And because Glued To My Crafts LOVES their readers, the downloadable file below, is completely FREE to you! Just download it below and add a handprint for the body of the “pink flamingo” in the center of the cardstock paper and finish off with painted embellishments to bring it to life!

It’s time to get crafty! This #FLA-mazing handprint flamingo keepsake is the perfect summertime activity for kids!
Craft Supplies:
- Flamingo Printable – on our landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Washable Pink Craft Paint
- Black Craft Paint
- Foam Paint Brush
- Small Paint Brush
- Paper Plate
- Baby Wipes
Directions:
- First grab the FREE Flamingo Themed printable that is listed above in the supply list.
- Print it out, in color, on a single sheet of white cardstock paper.
- Next grab your pink craft paint and paper plate.
- Squirt some paint on the paper plate.
- Pick a hand – any hand! Paint the palm and fingers of your child’s hand completely with the craft paint.
- Now press it in the center of the printable to create the body of the flamingo.
- Use baby wipes to remove the excess paint off their hand.
- If desired, add some loose craft glitter on top of the wet handprint design on the white cardstock paper, for a more fun look!
- Then set it aside to let it dry completely before you paint on a flamingo neck/head and beak.
- Add other embellishments you see fit, as well as having children sign the bottom.
- Then display/gift proudly!
