Popsicle Stick Ghosts - Kid Craft Idea For Halloween

Ready to start planning for Halloween fun? Get your little ghosts ready because this popsicle stick ghost craft will make the perfect addition to your spooky celebrations. These are great for kids of all ages and always turn out so cute!

Craft Supplies:

  • JUMBO Popsicle Sticks – 9 per craft
  • White Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • School Glue
  • Black Cardstock Paper

Directions:

  • First make the frame of the popsicle stick ghost or what I call, a fence. Just lay SEVEN popsicle sticks down, side by side.
  • Then take two popsicle sticks {one for your top and bottom} and glue them down the other direction to complete the square shape.
  • Let it dry completely.
  • Now let your child paint one side of their “ghost” completely white.
  • Let that dry completely as well.
  • To finish it off your ghost creations, use paper punches or craft scissors, to give the ghosts a mouth and eyes out of the black cardstock paper.
  • Use the glue to secure those in place on the painted popsicle stick shape.
  • Then display your craft stick ghost creations proudly for all to see!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
