Trick or Treat Footprint Ghost Keepsake Idea For Halloween
Have you seen all the Halloween kid crafts I’ve been sharing lately on Glued To My Crafts? We have been on a roll lately and I hope it’s been inspiring YOU!
Today I’m taking a step back from the traditional stuff we have been sharing and instead I’m sharing a craft idea that adults can make with their child and have an awesome Halloween keepsake to be treasured for years to come!
Footprints and handprints have slowly become my favorite thing to in-cooperate into our kid craft tutorials.
I just love seeing my Lil Man’s growth throughout the years, with the canvases we have made together. {I don’t think there is a holiday or special event I haven’t captured with footprints/handprints!}
You don’t even need any “crafter’s degree” or special equipment to make your own canvas art either! Just a blank canvas, paint and of course a cute kid with hands/feet.
Recently I made a Trick or Treat Ghost sign and it’s starting to be one of my favorite Halloween decorations in the house! Of course it’s easy but oh so impressive!
Find all the crafty details on how I pulled it together within minutes below! I really do hope you are inspired to recreate your own today!
Happy crafting, my friends!!! Please don’t forget to share pictures of your child’s finished footprint ghost canvas with us on our Facebook page! I can’t wait to see how “not spooky” it turns out! #gluedtomycrafts
Trick or Treat Ghost Halloween Keepsake Art Supplies:
* Large Blank Canvas {we used a large wood piece instead this time}
* Craft Paint in various colors
* Foam Paint Brushes {small and large!}
* Scrapbook Stickers
* Baby Wipes
* Small Paper Plate
* Cute Kid w/even cuter feet
Directions:
* First paint your canvas/wood piece a solid color. {a color that your white paint will show up on}
* If desired – add a dot pattern around the edge of my piece by dipping the eraser tip of a pencil in paint, then on my wood piece.
* Next, one at a time, paint your child’s feet white and press it on the canvas. Set aside to let it dry.
* Now add your scrapbook stickers to your piece. {Trick or Treat – Smell My Feet}
* To finish, give the ghosts life and paint on other embellishments if desired.
* Don’t forget to add your child’s name/date/age on the back of the footprint ghost keepsake!
