Hi friends! Are you pulling out your hair trying to find something to keep the kids busy this upcoming New Year’s Eve?

OK… maybe not pulling out your hair per say, that might be over-dramatic, but maybe you are struggling a bit? Well, look no more because Glued To My Crafts is here to rescue YOU!

Today’s New Year’s Eve Noisemaker Kid Craft Idea is PERFECT to keep little ones busy for a bit while they make it, as well as keeping them busy as they shake it in celebration.

Best part? These eve noisemaker pieces are made with simple supplies that are probably already in your home. You could probably open your pantry and pull them out right now. That fact along is a double YES and will make it even more super fun for you {I promise!}

Noisemaker Made From Cups Noisemaker Made From Cups

Craft Supplies:

  • 2 Large Styrofoam Cups – 2 per noisemaker
  • Dried Beans {or dry rice instead}
  • Painter’s Tape
  • Dot Markers {or paint, markers, crayons}

Directions:

  • Place a handful of dried beans in one cup.
  • Take your second cup, turn it upside down and place in on top of the first cup.
  • Now take your painter’s tape and tape the two cups together, making sure it won’t separate.
  • To finish off the noisemakers, have your child decorate them however they want. {maybe even bring out the glitter to really make it sparkle}
  • Once done, let them shake up their Styrofoam cup noisemaker, to make some noise in celebration of the holiday!
