5 Minute Fiesta Rice Noisemakers For Kids To Make Today!
Lil man and I are always jamming out together in the morning. If you saw him rocking his hips to various songs we listened to, you would crack up! BIG TIME! He’s a mini Elvis in the making and I seriously wonder where he gets his moves from {cause Joe & I lack the dance gene!}
So to throw some fun into our jam sessions, I recently decided to make him some fun noisemakers to use in his jam-out sessions. And since Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner {May 5th} I thought these would be a great addition FOR YOU to recreate in honor of your celebrations. Hence the name “Fiesta Rice Noisemakers.”
And the best part of these DIY rice noisemakers?? We are using those pesky plastic eggs left over from Easter, as well as some fun washi tape already from our craft stash. This means it’s SUPER CHEAP to recreate on the fly! You just need some plastic spoons but those are super easy to find as well!
Ready to make them? I can almost guarantee you have most of the supplies in your house, making this an EASY & affordable craft. So let’s grab our supplies and follow the rice and plastic egg noisemaker tutorial below!
Happy crafting and making TONS of noise with your little ones today! If you don’t mind, I would LOVE to see pictures of your DIY plastic spoon and rice noisemakers on our Facebook page! #gluedtomycrafts

THE DIRECTIONS:
First fill your plastic egg with a small amount of uncooked rice. A little bit goes a long way so don’t overfill it!
Close up your egg and make sure it CLICKS together nicely.
{If you want to make sure no rice EVER comes out of the egg, you can super glue it shut as extra precaution.}
Then put your egg between two spoons, just like the picture above.
Wrap the spoon with washi tape, making sure the egg can’t escape.
{If you don’t have washi tape, painters tape would work too}
And you are done. Repeat for each rice noisemaker you want to make today.
