Washi tape is making a HUGE splash in the craft world right now. Everyone {and I mean everyone} are sharing various craft tutorials with it, left and right!
Even on Pinterest, I’m seeing the trend explode! WOW! This decorative sticker tape has really made an impression in our craft world – hasn’t it?
If you are like me, you have collected quite a collection of washi tape these last few months. I pretty much have at least a roll in every color of the rainbow, and then some. And although I have so much, I just can’t stop buying it! {A crafter’s dilemma} But I’m a making a personal goal, starting today.
Craft supplies are NO fun if they are just sitting around…. so expect a few more washi tape crafts in the future on Glued To My Crafts. Starting with today’s post – Washi Tape Flower Cards.
I’m a firm believer that everyone should have a stockpile of cards in their collection. {Homemade preferred} Since my stash is currently running low, I decided to make some cute cards to add to it.
The nice thing about this DIY washi tape flower handmade card idea, is that you can make these in any color/design you like {which I love} and it’s super simple too! With a little imagination – you can make these EASY cards within minutes, too!
Find all the details below! Happy crafting {and gifting} my dear friends! #gluedtomycrafts
Washi Tape Flower Card Craft Supplies:
* Various Colors of Cardstock
* Paper Trimmer
* Washi Tape
* Sharpie Markers
* Glue Dots
* Decorative Craft Buttons
Directions:
* First fold and trim your cards out of cardstock. If you like, trim a piece of cardstock that is a bit smaller, to place on the front of the card. Adhere to the card.
* Now grab the washi tape. Tear off 4-6 long strips of your tape.
* Using the washi tape, you are going to make a flower shape {or snowflake/star shape – use our picture as an example} to place in the center of the cardstock card. Remember – you can make these any color you like and as full as you like.
* Once the base of your flower is done, grab your Sharpie markers and draw a stem coming from the flower design you just made.
* Then use a glue dot to adhere a large craft button to the center of the flower.
* Now add other embellishments you see fit, write a message inside and gift away!
