Handprint Firework Keepsake Craft For New Year’s Eve

Carve out some time this afternoon to recreate this New Year’s Eve paper craft idea with your child today! It’s the perfect DIY activity that doesn’t need much “leading” AND it’s a super nifty keepsake idea as well!

This “sparkly” idea is easy to slip in a scrapbook and/or picture frame to use for decor at your party celebrations. You can even make a whole bunch at once and gift them away as well!

Paper Handprint Firework - Super Easy New Year's Eve Kid Craft

Craft Supplies & Directions:

  • To recreate – all you need is several sheets of cardstock and/or scrapbook paper, scissors, school glue, a pencil and TONS of glitter!
  • Simply trace your child’s hand on some cardstock to create the “flame” of the firework.
  • Trim out with scissors.
  • Then add a rectangle for the firework base on another sheet of cardstock and have children add tons of glitter for the SPARKS coming from their newly made creation!
  • Add number scrapbook stickers to secure the date in place.
  • Then display proudly for ALL to see! Don’t forget to snap a few pictures of the paper firework piece to show off on our Facebook page wall!
