Brown Bear Cupcake Craft

OOPS – we have done it again with the BEAR-Y cuteness!

We are on a roll with these unique pom pom stamped cupcake themed craft ideas that we are sharing on Glued To My Crafts as of late! It’s MY way of sharing a sweet idea that doesn’t require pulling out the mixing stand or making messy batter!

With just a few simple supplies and a little crafty imagination, you too can bring to life some one-of-a-kind paper & paint CHOCOLATE BEAR CUPCAKES within a few minutes! All it takes is a large pom pom, a dab of BROWN craft paint and some cardstock paper to “become a cake decorator” and recreate your own adorable brown bear cupcake friend today!

So enough chit chat from me – let’s grab our supplies and make some adorable & completely customizable paper teddy bear cupcakes together! Pom Pom Stamped Bear Cupcake Craft Idea

All you need is a pom pom, a wooden clothespin, some craft paint, and our FREE printable to complete. That’s it! Let kids have fun “baking” this brown bear cupcake today, after checking out the tutorial below!

Craft Supplies:

  • CUPCAKE FILE – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Wooden Clothespin
  • Large Sized Pom Pom
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Tan Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • School Glue

Directions:

  • First print the free purple liner cupcake template listed above in the supply list. You only need ONE print per baby bear cupcake craft.
  • Next “pinch” your LARGE sized pom pom inside the clothespin. This is now your paint brush for the craft and how you will add the painted cupcake frosting on top.
  • Now squirt some BROWN craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Dip the pom pom paint brush in the craft paint, then on the printable, just above the cupcake liner.
  • Repeat under you have the desired “chocolate frosting” look you want. You can make your the fluffy frosting as tall or as thin as you like!
  • To finish off the Pom Pom Bear Cupcake kid craft, cut out TWO half circle ears from the tan cardstock paper and a large OVAL nose/muzzle from the black. If you choose to, you can also cut out some “candy eyes” from the remaining black cardstock paper.
  • Now go ahead and glue those to the decorate cupcake liner piece. Start off with the ears on top and the nose in the center.
  • Then add anything else you see fit {like a small craft bow or loose craft glitter for sprinkles for the CHERRY on top!}
  • When done crafting, allow it all to dry completely before you display it proudly for ALL to see!
  • BTW – as a way to change up this bear-y cute craft tutorial, you can print our free printable on a darker shade of cardstock paper and use white craft paint to make POLAR BEAR CUPCAKES instead!
