Reindeer Cupcake Christmas Craft Idea For Kids

Welcome friends! I’m super excited {as usual} to be sharing this new “never before seen” kid craft idea with you all today!

It’s another UNIQUE holiday themed tutorial that I recently came up with for Glued To My Crafts and I’m just bursting with excitement as I type up this very blog post.

With just a few simple supplies and a little crafty imagination, you too can bring to life some one-of-a-kind Christmas themed paper cupcakes with just a few simple materials such as a pom pom, craft paint and wooden clothespin!

So enough chit chat from me – let’s grab our supplies and make some adorable & completely customizable paper reindeer cupcakes together! I really do hope you AND your child have fun “baking” it together today!

Pom Pom Painted Reindeer Cupcake Craft

These reindeer cupcakes are a great way to get into the Christmas spirit! They’re festive, fun and easy to make with just a few simple materials. Your kids will love making them!

Craft Supplies:

  • Cupcake Printable – on our landing page
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Wooden Clothespin
  • Medium Sized Pom Pom
  • Large Red Pom Pom
  • Scissors
  • School Glue

Directions:

  • First print the free cupcake template listed above in the supply list. You only need ONE print per craft.
  • Next “pinch” your medium sized pom pom in the clothespin. This is now your paint brush.
  • Squirt some brown craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Dip the pom pom in the craft paint, then on the printable, just above the cupcake liner.
  • Repeat under you have the desired “cupcake frosting” look you want. You can make your reindeer frosting as tall or as thin as you like!
  • To finish off the Pom Pom Reindeer Cupcake kid craft, cut out some antlers from the remaining cardstock paper and glue those pieces on top of the painted design.
  • At this point in time you can also glue on the red “pom pom” nose/cherry on top, that will really tie the theme together.
  • When done crafting, allow it all to dry completely before you display it proudly for ALL to see!
  • Then snap a few pictures and share them with us on our Facebook page to admire!
