Fall Cupcake Craft Idea For Kids

Welcome friends! I’m so excited to be finally sharing this latest {and rather unique!} cupcake craft idea from me. I’ve actually been sitting on this idea for quite some time {since spring actually} but I think NOW, that we are closer to fall, it’s the perfect time to finally reveal it! Just in time for you to plan those autumn activities – hint hint!

On that note, after printing our free cupcake liner file {that you will find for free below in the supply list} all you need is a pom pom, wooden clothespin, some orange craft paint and a little bit of black cardstock paper to recreate this sweet treat. That’s it!

Very basic materials, you probably have on handy already, it’s just a matter of pulling them out and “baking” up your own paper pumpkin cupcake creations on the kitchen table.

Our latest tutorial is a very unique spin than the traditional crafts this time of year and we seriously hope you love our jack-o-lantern pumpkin cupcake idea as much as we do sharing it with you all!

So without further ado, hopefully this creative jack-o-lantern paper craft idea will help your child create some awesome pieces to show off on the fridge today. I’m also pretty sure this idea is going to be a hit in your home and you will want to join in on the fun as well! Hopefully it’s a sweet craft idea to add to your upcoming Halloween celebration plans as well!

Pom Pom Painted Pumpkin Cupcake Craft For Fall

Get festive this fall! Unleash your creativity with this fun, pom-pom painted pumpkin cupcake craft idea.

Craft Supplies:

  • Cupcake Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Orange Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Wooden Clothespin
  • Medium Sized Pom Pom
  • Large Green Pom Pom
  • Scissors
  • School Glue

Directions:

  • First print the free cupcake template listed above in the supply list. You only need ONE print per craft.
  • Next “pinch” your medium sized pom pom in the clothespin. This is now your paint brush.
  • Squirt some orange craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Dip the pom pom in the craft paint, then on the printable, just above the cupcake liner.
  • Repeat under you have the desired “cupcake frosting” look you want. You can make your pumpkin frosting as tall or as thin as you like!
  • To finish off the Pom Pom Pumpkin Cupcake craft, cut out some jack-o-lantern eyes/mouth out of the black cardstock paper {or use wiggle eyes} and glue those pieces on top of the painted design.
  • At this point in time you can also glue on the green “pom pom” as the stem/cherry on top, that will really tie the theme together.
  • When done crafting, allow it all to dry completely before you display it proudly for ALL to see!
