Pom Pom Stamped Leaf Craft

Pom Pom Stamped Leaf Craft Idea For Kids

Pom Pom Stamped Leaf Craft Idea For Kids

Inspired by the beautiful tree scenery that fall produces every year, today’s Painted Leaf kids craft idea is super easy to make within minutes and it’s relatively inexpensive too.

To complete this leaf art project idea, all you need to do is print the file listed below, grab some paint, assemble some paint brushes and then have children decorate their paper however they like! After a few hours, trim out the design and display! It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to pull it together! Plus you can add the finished pieces to your windows or make a banner with some string & a single hole punch.

So let’s get to it! Simply grab the freebie file located below in the supply list and get to work on creating this adorable leaf themed craft today. I hope you enjoy recreating it with your child!

Happy crafting my friends! Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook so you never miss a new tutorial from us! This is also a great place to share pictures of your child’s finished paper marbled leaf creations! I can’t wait to “meet” you over there! #gluedtomycrafts

PAIR YOUR AUTUMN CRAFT WITH —> Pumpkin Patch Frame

Pom Pom Stamped Leaf Craft Idea For Kids Pom Pom Stamped Leaf Craft Idea For Kids

Craft Supplies:

  • Free LEAF Template {ON BOX.COM}
  • Colored Cardstock Paper
  • Color Printer
  • Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Wooden Clothespin
  • Large Sized Pom Pom
  • Loose Craft Glitter
  • Scissors

Make It:

  • First print the blank leaf template listed above in the supply list. My suggestion is on colored paper but feel free to change that up. You only need ONE print per leaf craft.
  • Next grab your printable and flip it over on your working space, so the leaf design is facing the table. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
  • Now grab your clothespin and pom pom.
  • Pinch the pom pom inside the wood clothespin. This is now your paint brush.
  • Next squirt the various colors of craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Dip the pom pom paint brush in one of the paint colors, then on the printable anywhere you like {remember – this is all being done on the back side!} Unlike our previous tutorials, this time you can really go to town on your pom pom paint design. You just want “stamps” focused mainly in the middle of the paper.
  • Repeat under you have the desired look you want.
  • Go ahead and also sprinkle loose craft glitter on top of the wet paint.
  • When done painting, set aside the paper piece for SEVERAL hours till the paint is completely dry.
  • To finish off the Pom Pom Stamped Fall Leaf craft, use scissors to trim out the design. Since you did the stamping on the back side of it, you will be able to flip over the paper and just follow the clean lines to cut out the leaf shape.
  • And that’s it! I added smiley faces to my finished piece but you can of course skip that step.
  • Now display your pieces proudly for all to see!
  • BTW – you can easily swap out the pom pom stamping step for PUFFY PAINT instead! Just follow our recipe and add it on top of the cardstock paper instead!
