Let’s get crafty this fall! Transform ordinary materials into a simple popsicle stick picture frame craft idea.
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Hot Glue Gun {adult use only, please!}
- Orange Craft Paint
- Paint Brush
- Paper Craft Scissors
- Brown Cardstock Paper
- Green Pipe Cleaner
- 4×6″ Color Picture
Directions:
- ADULTS ONLY – Get the glue gun hot and ready.
- Grab FOUR popsicle sticks.
- Hot glue the base of your pumpkin patch frame, in a square formation. This way you have an opening in the center for your picture.
- Repeat for each pumpkin picture picture frame you want to make.
- Set it aside to let it dry a bit {instead of a hot glue gun, you can also use school glue but drying time takes longer.}
- Squirt some orange craft paint on a paper plate.
- Have children paint the front of their popsicle stick shape completely orange.
- Set it aside.
- Next cut out a small brown stem from your cardstock.
- You can also cut out a small paper piece to write “pumpkin patch – year” on it, if desired. I did mine in white.
- Glue those to the front of the popsicle stick design in their designated spot.
- Grab your green pipe cleaner.
- Cut it in half with scissors.
- Take one half and curl it with your fingers slightly.
- Go ahead and hot glue it near the paper stem of the craft.
- Now let it all dry completely before securing your printed picture to the back of the popsicle stick stick frame {you can do this step with school glue or tape.} You might have to trim your picture down a little to make it fit in the frame. Just use your scissors.
- Once done decorating the popsicle stick pumpkin frame and it’s completely dry, display it proudly for ALL to see. You can either prop it on a shelf as is or hot glue ribbon and/or magnets to the back!
- Don’t forget to snap a few pictures of your child’s craft stick pumpkin frame to share with us on your social media sites! #gluedtomycrafts
