Keep scrolling to see our Toddler Fun – Pumpkin Painting {Fall Craft} post come to life!

Hands down, the absolutely BEST decorations for fall are pumpkins. Am I right?

Whether you carve them or just sit them on the porch for goods looks – they are a must {am I right?!} I repeat – they are a MUST. In my opinion anyways…

Another must? Involving my son in the holiday decorating process. After – all, he’s a boy and in a few years he’s going to scream “but MOM!” and I’m going to miss the times he just “went along with it.” Plus I just like having the keepsakes for years to come.

So last week I purchased some mini pumpkins/gourds at the grocery store.

When we got home I brought out my paint collection and brushes. Lil Man and I then set up shop on the dining room table and we gave those pumpkins a unique look. {Loved that we could do it together!}

I absolutely love how our painted pumpkins turned out and wish I could save them for future years. Maybe next year I will buy fake pumpkins to paint. Till then, I will just admire the ones we decorated.

CRAFT SUPPLIES AND DIRECTIONS:

  • Just squirt some paint on a paper plate and grab some brushes. Just note – the brighter the colors, the more vibrant your pumpkins will look.
  • Once your done with your pumpkin masterpieces, set aside to let dry completely before displaying proudly.
  • I originally had glitter set out for us to use, but decided to wait. Since I have our pumpkins sitting on the tv stand for now, Lil Man likes to grab them and play with them. No sense of having glitter all over the place this year 😉

Are you decorating/carving pumpkins this year? I wanna see pictures if you do! Share some pictures on our Facebook page. I’m still researching to see when we will head to Colorado to a local pumpkin patch. I’m still determined to carve a few pumpkins as well. #gluedtomycrafts

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
